Every year in the coldest month of February, a hauntingly beautiful vision rises in the vastness of the night sky: The Snow Moon.
Shining in all its full moon glory during freedom lovingAquarius season, this mystical moon signifies the peak of winter and shines the light of awareness on everything in shadow.
Known also as the Hunger Moon or Storm Moon in NativeAmerican cultures, the February winter full moon amplifies the areas in our lives where we feel the deep freeze: unable to move forward. Deep within the icy caves of our unconscious resides our shadow, the wounded aspect of ourselves. The Snow Moon shines upon these wounded parts of ourselves that are frozen in time, in order for the thaw to begin.
Full moons are the time for catharsis, release, integration and closure and this auspicious glacial moon is primed to transform the frostiest of frigid shadow. The question is, are you ready to defrost?
